The meagre soils and harsh climate on the plains of the Swabian Alb give the caraway plants from that region a special aroma. As the name indicates, meadow caraway is a herb that can be found in MeadowFruit orchards. We get it from Wilfried Holder who grows in on the Swabian Alb. The potential of caraway has been known for a long time, people gathered it to use in food preparation and for healing ointments. Caraway is rich in essential oils and with its intense but mild flavour it rounds off the alcohol free Aecht Kümmel.
 
Aroma: Greenish notes of dill and cucumber at the start. These are interwoven with fine honey notes and soft camomile blossom.

Taste: Full aromatic notes of caraway are replaced by honey-like nuances. A powdery minerality and good tannins can be found in the mid-palate and aftertaste.

Food pairing: light, poached fish dishes with pan fried vegetables like fennel and carottes, with hard cheese, oriental dishes spiced with cumin like falafel, humus or grilled aubergine
